Installing CPR Signs
How to Install your CPR Pool Sign.
Ensure the surface is clean and free from dust, oil or other surface contaminents. Note: some paints can contain teflon which may limit adhesion.
Using a spirit level to ensure the sign is level.
Stand off or screw mounted signs
Use appropriate fixings for the intended mounting surface ie plasterboard plugs plus screws or masonary plugs for concrete.
A secondary adhesive such as Liquid nails or similar is ok to use. These can be drilled through for application with holes if required.
REVERSE PRINTED ACRYLIC SIGNS
The double sided tape is fine to use on most surfaces however if in doubt a secondary adhesive may be required. DO NOT USE LIQUID NAILS or other general construction or solvent based adhesive which will likely damage the graphics.
Use only a NEUTRAL CURE silicon polyurathene adhesive. If holes are required start with a smaller hole and work up to final size taking care not to crack the acrylic ideally use a drill press.
Acrylic signs are supplied with a clear protective film over the face to avoid scratches and scuffs, once the sign is installed remove the protective coating.
Use warm soapy water first and then if necessary Isopropal Alcohol, Acrylic can scratch so take care.
